Pound Puppies is a fan-made adventure comedy film written by Jlee99. It is an adaptation and reboot of the original 1980s television series.
Synopsis[]
The Pound Puppies must return a Labrador Retriever named Polo back to his family in New York City with their nemesis Katrina Stoneheart on their tails.
Plot[]
The Pound Puppies, led by Cooler, are a group of dogs who specialize in finding families for puppies in need. They are aided by Holly, an eleven-year old girl who possesses Puppy Power, an ability that allows humans to communicate with animals, mainly dogs and cats. Their only villains known in existence are Holly's cruel aunt Katrina Stoneheart, her equally evil daughter Brattina, and their pet Siamese cat Catgut.
A dog catcher truck enters through the doors of Katrina’s Puppy Pound, which is owned by Katrina. Seven puppies hop out, including a Labrador Retriever named Polo, who tries to escape, but is now caught by Katrina. The Pound Puppies rescue Polo, and is taken down to their Headquarters. After celebrating Holly’s twelfth birthday, Polo explains that he’s trying to find his family, who resides in New York City. The puppies agree to escort Polo, and the next morning, they leave the pound in Howler’s Biscuit-Mobile. Realizing that Holly ran away along with the puppies, Katrina, Brattina, and Catgut soon follow them, riding in Katrina’s latest invention: the Compactor Tractor 2000. Her henchman, Captain Slaughter, also tracks them down.
Arriving in Las Vegas, the puppies are now stranded thanks to the Biscuit-Mobile running low on gas. A while later, they are cornered by Captain Slaughter, who wrecks the Biscuit-Mobile badly. It soon leads to the Biscuit-Mobile being run over by a train, with the puppies escaping from the collision. The next morning, the gang arrives in Texas, and soon find themselves trapped in the desert, where the puppies and Holly collapse due to dehydration. A moment later, they are found by Katrina and her gang, who are riding in the Tractor 2000. This leads to a chase through the desert, where Nose Marie is cornered by the Tractor’s claws.
As Katrina plans to vaporize Nose Marie, she is then rescued by Cooler, dressed up as a John Wayne-esque cowboy. The chase suddenly comes to a close as the Tractor malfunctions, blowing it up to smithereens. Luckily, the puppies escape. Later that night, the gang is sleeping in the woods. At midnight, Holly finds Brattina and tells her everything that happened so far. As a thunderstorm grows worse, the two girls soon get washed away by a huge wave. After Holly kills a huge anaconda while in the water, she is soon washed away again, this time on shore. Holly finds Brattina near a waterfall and saves her from approaching doom.
Brattina thanks Holly for rescuing her and apologizes for treating her and the puppies like dirt. Holly accepts her apology, and soon makes their way back to the puppies, who find them. Holly is then found by a now-furious Katrina, who scolds her for running off with the puppies. Now angry, both Holly and Brattina scold Katrina for treating the both of them horribly and tells her that she is a terrible aunt. They soon leave both her and Catgut behind. The gang is now captured by Captain Slaughter, riding in a helicopter.
Back in Katrina’s Puppy Pound, both Katrina and Catgut stumble upon Headquarters, which is located underneath the pound. A confused Katrina explores HQ and later sees the monitors in the monitor room. She watches a series of memories involving Katrina’s cruel acts and selfishness towards Holly and the puppies. Katrina, now remorseful, wants to redeem herself. After learning that Captain Slaughter has kidnapped the puppies and is holding them hostage in a fur factory, she flies off to rescue them using one of her inventions: the Copto-Catcher. Joining her are a band of puppies, including Toots, Penelope, Candy, Mandy and Andy, Beazer, Arf, and Cheep-Cheep.
The puppies try to escape from Slaughter’s invention, the Automatic Puppy Pelter, but luckily, Katrina and the puppies break into the fur factory to rescue them. Whopper manages to fight Slaughter off as Neo from The Matrix, but this was cut short. The puppies soon fly off to New York in the Copto-Catcher, using a giant rocket booster. The Copto-Catcher finally reaches New York and brings Polo home to Staten Island, where his owner, Kathy, lives. The puppies return to the pound, where both Katrina and Holly reconcile, agreeing to share ownership of the pound, renaming it as Holly and Katrina’s Puppy Pound.
